Directory Programming .NET

I'm the first on my development team to upgrade to Windows 7. Unfortunately, our development environment requires a local copy of ADAM and yes, I know that ADAM is the "former" of AD LDS. The real issue is Windows 7 support. I unsucessfully tried to install ADAM on Windows 7. After reading lots of disappointing news about ADAM/AD LDS NOT being supported on Windows 7, I finally ran into a response in the "ADSI General Discussion" group [see link below] that it "may" be supported.

Has there been any information regarding support for ADAM/AD LDS on Windows 7?

This is fairly recent news (last 2 weeks or so).

Thanks for responding so quickly but unfortunately, that link doesn't appear to work anymore. I should have mentioned that in my original post. Any other suggestions?

No clue. I'll send an email to the PM and see what I can find out. I'm not sure if it was pulled due to an issue or this is just a glitch. I'm certain that they intend to have something out there.

I got word back that the reason that the link is down right now is that an issue was discovered that they are working on. The link will be restored once the issue is addressed which should be soon, but there are no announcements or ETA's yet.

The overall message is that it will be supported soon and there is no intent to pull support completely here. This is basically just a glitch. Hopefully you can sit tight for a little while. I'll respond here when I get an update (if I get an update).

I've heard nothing yet. I'll be in Redmond at the MVP Summit next week, so I can inquire personally then. If I can scare up an email response before then I'll post back here. I can't imagine this is going to go on for very long but no one told me how serious the problem they were trying to resolve was and how much effort was required to resolve so I have no expectation of when we'll see the fix.
