    Diag Tool help, multiple servers

So I have more than one FS and FS-P to go with them.

Is it fine to keep using the same adfs.out file for everything, or is it going to mix things up?

When should you use a new .out file?

Re: Diag Tool help, multiple servers

if I have multiple FS servers with proxies, when using the diag tool do I need to use more than one adfs.out file or will using the same file work?

this is not a farm, just that I have multiple orgs that are connected to each other

    JimSim:

if each FS is a partner to a single resource partner -then you could use the same .out file

you may want to run it like this:

resource partner first - generate .out file

Then send that out file to an account partner and run it

then send the first .out file you generated to the next account partner

    and so on

I have three orgs, one is just an account store, the other two are both FS-A/R, running around to all of my servers involved and using the same .out file won't hurt then?

    JimSim:

it wont hurt and the tool should keep them straight (because each org has a unique uri and url) - so it comes down to what is easiest for you to dianose a problem

One important thing to note about the tool (which I was unaware of for a while).  The diagnostic tool assumes the Proxy component is for a FS-A.  This means that if you have a FS-R Proxy and run the tool at the FS-R, then the FS-R Proxy - it will throw errors even though there may not be a problem.

Re: Diag Tool help, multiple servers

the diag tool certainly helps when you are getting started, but I've found that my network is working but the diag tool still gives some false errors

I'm going to try and compile a list of errors I find and document what I did to solve them, that way the client can understand this better as well
